At SIAEC, we are dedicated to people development. Our robust curriculum of training programmes ensure that the competencies and skills of our employees remain at the forefront of the aviation industry. Our Training Academy – a Maintenance Training Organisation approved by the civil aviation authorities and recognised by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency – is well-placed to establish skilled technicians and licensed aircraft engineers that are equipped to handle the latest aircraft and advanced technologies.

Our structured learning roadmaps provide targeted and relevant learning opportunities for employees throughout their career journey, including functional training programmes that equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills to succeed in their current roles. We also promote a culture of self-directed learning by leveraging new tools and technologies to support learning anytime and anywhere. Our developmental opportunities include on-the-job training and coaching, overseas postings and job rotations.

Having a holistic employee experience is essential in keeping our workforce engaged and motivated. We place a strong emphasis on employee engagement, which includes regular management dialogues with employees as well as our Union partners on the Company’s operating and financial performance, business developments and key initiatives. Daily performance dialogues and toolbox briefings are also conducted by team leaders at the operational level. Employees stay on the pulse through inhouse communication channels such as our Company intranet portal, Viva Engage communities, 1SQ mobile application, online collaboration tools, micro-sites, and e-newsletters.

Our talented, diverse and dedicated team of professionals currently stands at over 4,500, comprised of technicians (60%), licensed aircraft engineers (20%), and managers, administrative officers and general grades (20%).
