We have more than 40 years experience in training engineers and technicians.

Training

To meet the continuous and rigorous training needs of the aerospace industry, our Engineering Training Department has been conducting courses for the past four decades. We have a qualified and dedicated pool of instructors and trainers to provide training for both internal and external maintenance engineers and technicians. Training is conducted in well equipped classrooms, computer-based training rooms and workshops, or at the aircraft for practical and on-the-job-related courses. We are the first to attain CAAS SAR-147 MTO Approval and current trainee strength is over 600.

In 2007, we became a pioneer member of the exclusive Airbus Maintenance Training Network (AMTN) and we are now an accredited Airbus Training Center for both the A320 and A380 type course training. Having access to Airbus' latest training methodology allows us to be the first in the world, outside of the Airbus' facility in Toulouse, to embark on an highly effective training methodology - Airbus Active learning and Competence-focused training (AACT). We train our engineers using the latest Airbus Simulation tools such as the 2-D Maintenance / Flight Training Devices (MFTD) and the interactive Virtual Aircraft. These provide hands-on experience that is not possible through conventional training methods.

To meet the demands of a growing MRO industry, Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and Trainee Technician schemes are two major programmes administered by the department. We also offer Skills Training, On-Job-Training and Productivity courses.
