SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation is a new state-of-the-art MRO facility located at Clark, Philippines. Located in the vicinty of Clark's Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, within 15 min flight time from Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport and within 4 flight hours to major North Asian markets including China, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong. The suite of capabilities include aircraft certification and scheduled heavy maintenance checks, airframe structural inspections, repairs, modifications, paint-stripping, painting of aircraft exteriors and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) checks. Key approvals are from authorities such as the Civil Aviation Authority of Philippines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency.
Spanning 27,000m2 upon final completion, SIA Engineering (Philippines) facility will encompass:
- One narrow-body hangar to accommodate single aisle aircrafts such as A320, commencing operations in 2nd quarter 2009.
- Two wide-body hangars to accommodate twin-aisle aircraft such as B747 and B777, commencement dates will be announced later.
