SIA Engineering Company Scholarship
Introduction
The SIA Engineering Company Scholarship is awarded to individuals with a passion in the aviation industry and who aspire to be part of a valuable team member of a global employer.
Selected candidates will undergo 3 to 4 years training to become a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Good performers will be sponsored to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Aviation Maintenance with a world-class university.
Scholarship Terms
| 1. | Cost of training will be fully borne by the Company |
| 2. | Maintenance Allowance – S$12,000 annually ($1,000 per month) Supplementary Allowance* of up to $250 per month * This is to be repaid to the Sponsor after the scholar commences employment through flexible re-payment options |
| 3. | Annual review of scholarship award, subject to satisfactory conduct and performance in SIAEC Training School |
| 4. | Outstanding candidates will be awarded with an additional sponsorship to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Aviation Maintenance with a world-class university |
| 5. | Bond Period – 3 to 5 years after completion of training |
| 6. | Employment offer in any of the SIAEC Group of Companies upon completion of training |
World-Class Training
Scholars will undergo a 3 to 4 years training comprising of theory, skills, practical and on-the-job training at SIAEC Training School which is well equipped with specialised classrooms, modern training aids, computer-based instruction and other facilities.
Successful completion of the training will lead to an award of aircraft engineer’s license by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
Eligibility Criteria
Dynamic individuals with the following qualifications from the local polytechnics are invited to apply:
- Aerospace Engineering / Electronics / Avionics
- Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
